Swag Chandelier Kit

I have a metal chandlier (originally hardwired) that will be reinstalled about 70" from the floor via chandelier swag kit (chain, ceiling anchor, cord, and plug). At this height, the chandelier can be easily accessible to touch.

Here's the problem: The swag kit cord and plug does not contain a ground wire and grounding terminal.

A. What should I do with the bare ground wire coming from the chandelier?

B. Should I make any modifications to this kit?

C.Is the ground wire allowed to be bare copper along the entire length of the chain to the plug?

whats stopping you from hardwiring the fixture?

Since this light is being relocated to a totally different area (bed room), it would be alot easier to use a swag style install rather than ripping drywall, drilling studs and fishing wire to a new switch. Plus if the wife wants to relocate the light again, it would make things so much easier. If going the swag style conversion route raises a red flag from an electrician's point of view, please let me know. I want to do things in the safest manner possible. Thanks again.

okay, I get what your doing, you just want to swag the thing all the way to a wall and plug it in to the closest receptacle correct?

Yes. My concern was the ground wire connection and saftey issue if there is one.
