Surge Protection Outlet

Noob question here so please bare with me...

Is there such thing as a wall outlet that has built in surge protection/protector? I would like to put a new outlet behind my wall mounted TV and wanted something that could offer surge protection. I don't want to use an external strip like Tripp Lite or something similar.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes Panamax makes some of the best. I use them all the time on home theater installs.

Or, there's a "Whole House" surge protector that is being installed at the Service entrance!

Lowes carries a Pass & Seymour / Legrand brand TVSS receptacle for around $25.
