Surface mounted switch leg code, chicago


Just making sure, chicago can be difficult. is surface mounting allowable in chicago to convert a ceiling light fixture with pull chain to a switched on/off.

If it is in the proper conduit. But if it is in a living area it will look like s**t.

How about a wireless switch.
