stuck with cheap lighting fixture?

Hi to all, About 18 mo. ago I installed a cieling lighting fixture from a box store and the ballast has gone out.I returned to the stores web site to find reviews of other customers with the same problem. Some stated they could not find a replacement and I have not been able to as yet.How do you find quality lighting products that has a good chance for replacement parts should you need them? Does anybody have a preference?

Have you considered a local supply house or lighting show room?

I just located a replacement ballast but I will consider going to a lighting store in the future. The replacement is not the exact in dimension but I think it will work. You just have to be careful on everything you buy because the stores are full of junk. Its like you have to research everything to avoid getting stuck with garbage.
