Stove wiring help

I had a bathroom floor repaired and tiled . When cutting out the old sub floor the wire to the stove was cut into . I found that the builder stapled the wire onto the sub floor instead of on a joist center . My house has two floors so at the moment there is a big open spot down stairs in the ceiling . What is the best way to fix this wire? I have read i can not install a junction box unless it is able to be opened aka showing on the ceiling . The wire is long as all hell and in a bad spot to try and replace. What are my options for fixing this ? The wire reads xhhw-2 600 volts . The stove is a 3 prong plug .

You either need to replace the wire, or pull the ends of the wires back to somewhere where an accessible JBox wouldn't look so obtrusive, then replace the wire in between the two boxes.

What can be done is splice wires in a box above the ceiling and than install a access cover on the cieling. Many times a ac return grill is used to cover the hole in the ceiling. This make it is just a air return and it belong there.
