Smoke detector placement in residential homes

Hexamexapex Member   Join Date: Jun 2012 Posts: 40	Smoke detector placement in residential homes Where in the 2008 NEC can I find information on the placement of smoke detectors in residential homes? I have reviewed Article 760 (Fire Alarm Systems) in NEC 2008 but did not find anything. Maybe I overlooked it? Thanks again for any and all help provided. Marcus

Building codes and fire protection codes have the information.
