Size of baseboard heater wires

I want to install a baseboard heater. I've checked home depot and the highest power baseboard heater had 1500W. So that comes out 6A. Am I okay using 14-2 wire?

Yes. If the thermostat does not break both hots and have an "OFF" position you will also need a disconnect switch if the unit does not have one.
