Shop Power & Lighting

I am converting a garage into a woodworking shop. I need to add a power mold strip behind a work bench. The run will be 7 feet long and will be used for typical hand tools, vacum, strip light, battery charger and yes, a television.
I am assuming a 20 amp breaker from the service panel which is within 5 feet of the beginning of the run. Should this be GFI? Any other advice? Is there a site providing a diagram of any sort. Thanks !!!
