Service entrance ground size ?


What size ground wire is needed for 200A single phase service
I'm using 3/0 copper for my conductors

I could be wrong, but according to this site, #4 is required

When you say ground wire, exactly what do you mean? The wire that goes to the ground rod? Water pipe?
If the answer is yes #4 is all you need. But #2 is even better.

I agree, there is no "ground" wire, as in equipment ground. Also, a conductor that is going only to a ground rod is only required to be #6cu regardless of service size.
