A simple cheap paddle bit will do the same job a whole lot cheaper.

As long you don't hit any nail the cheap paddle bits will work but normally I like to use the augar bits they last super long time and I have nail eater verison which it actually shear off the nails when I bore thru the stud or beams.

Just make sure you bore in the centre of the stud that will work the best.

Majorty of the time the 3/4 or 7/8 inch bit will serve the purpose most of the time but there are couple spots you will have to get larger bit to drill thru for larger cables or conduits.
