Securing Cable Runs Over Block

I am seeking advice on the proper method(s) for securing cable runs in a specific situation. My breaker box is in my laundry room which is the lower level of a split home. The walls are block, with Furring strips over the block that drywall is hung on. There is a 220 run and I would estimate 6 other 110 15 and 20A runs. Some are original (1960's) and others have bene added over the years by prior homeowners.

All the runs follow along the top of the wall near the ceiling and are for the most part hanging loose, secured at the breaker box, and then before they split off to the crawl/up the wall. The total exposed run is probably 15', so I know there are not currently enough secured points.

The problem is this: I cannot use staples as they will not hold in drywall. What would be best? I would like to bring this up to code as easily as possible for peace of mind. This is a finished area, but it is a utility area, so it doesn't have to be pretty.

Thanks in advance

Jon

You could secure something like a furring strip to the drywall and then staple the cables to the strip.

something like this would possibly work...you can secure with masonary screws (through dryway, into the cement blocks)...
