I'm running some single conductor wires from my outdoor main panel to an indoor 100A sub panel. I've got all the conduit up and secured. Never having run wires in conduit before, I have a basic technique question. Is it easier to pull all the wires together at once, or to pull each conductor individually?
The electrical supply house finally came through with my wire today. So being hot to trot, I went ahead and pushed the wires through the conduit. The cheapskate in me won for a moment, and I tried an initial pass without lube. I found it more than doable, at least until I hit the first sweep... :whistling2: That was all the motivation I needed to shove my inner cheapskate.
All in all, things went well. Thanks again for all your tips.
One last parting tip if anyone comes along and reads this later. If you're using PVC think about the pull while you're building the conduit. I stupidly made one fitting where the wire was coming out of the bell and into the next piece. That made a nice point for the wires to initially catch on.
