Run outside outlet from concrete and brick garage

Hello. Today I'm attempting to put an outlet on my front of my house. The garage was an addition and is made of concrete and brick I want to run the wire from the garage to be outside what are the appropriate steps in this? Do I need to purchase outdoor wire or indoor wire is fine.
