The rough electrical inspection passed today with flying colors - a HUGE THANKS to all that so patiently answered a myriad of questions!

The project is a major remodel of the public areas of the house... removing walls to make a updated floorplan, new kitchen, installing a three-sided fireplace, etc.
  • Added a few new circuits
  • Separated functions in the kitchen like they are supposed to be
  • Cut the concrete floor to run a conduit to a new kitchen island
  • Moved and terminated several wires left hanging from removal of a few walls, removed old fixtures and fans
  • Installed ceiling cans
  • Installed boxes for pendant and surface fixtures
Many thanks!

Now onto next steps...

Congratulations
When I had my first electrical inspection on my 1954 house rewire in the late 80's the Inspector almost hit a brick when he saw a 1954 green wire dangling from an open box fed by FMC conduit.

The green wire was originally a HOT (legal in 1954) that I had not yet changed out. I failed the Inspection.
