Greetings, all. I am a long time homebrewer and have decided to take the plunge to all electric brewing. I have most of the details roughed-out, and have determined that I will need to have a few things done by an electrician. The first would be installation of one 50-amp and one 30-amp circuit to my residence. My current box is full, so I figure I will likely need a sub-panel installed as well. The distance from the box to the point of use would be very short (around 10 feet), which will certainly save me a bit on wiring. I should specify that these would have to be GFI protected circuits, of course.
I was wondering what the approximate cost should be for the installation of the two circuits. Additionally, I might consider having the electrician wire-up my PIDs, SSRs, and heating elements for me. That would be a different matter, obviously. I figure I wouldn't necessarily need a fully licensed electrician for the latter items, but would absolutely need one for the installation of the circuits. Any advice you folks could offer would be most helpful.
