Very simple the heating effect on the conductors when you get more than 23.9 inches the derating can be in effect espcally if you have large numbers of cable or conductors and it is more than 24 inches the derating do kick in and it will reduce the current carry rating a bit depending on numbers of conductors or cable in the hole or in conduit.


The answer will be based on NEC ( National Electrical code ) or CEC ( Cananda Electrical code ) or ECF ( Electrique Code France )
