Is Romex-looking wire the same as regular Romex?

At Home Depot around here they sell a lot of wire. Some of it comes in boxes made by Southwire and it says Romex on the box. Some of it comes shrink wrapped in big bundles of 100 or even 200 feet and it doesn't say Romex but it looks just the same. Is this a stupid question?

We call it romex but its actually NM or "non metallic"

Its color coded-white is 14 awg, yellow is 12, and orange is 10.

Gray, tough insulation is UF.

The larger rolls may not be put in a box, but on a reel or wrapped up and tied.

Romex is a brand name, like sawsall, but like rgsgww stated, is really nm cable!
