Rewire

One of my rentals was built in 1926 and everything is old. I have done very little to upgrade the wiring and the renters don't complain. They have to get out the flashlight every now and then and replace a buss fuse. No big deal.

Just because your friend said you should rewire it is no reason to do that unless you know that there is something that is dangerous. Remember that the house has been standing for 42 years as have a lot of homes with the same wiring.

I don't have any homes that new. The newest one I have was built in 1952, my main home was built in 1940. I rewired both just because we didn't have enough outlets and I had the walls open to put in insulated windows and insulation.
