Replacing light fixture and box holes not matching up to the fixture

I have all my wiring done on the new light fixture. But I went to screw the base piece in and the screw holes on the electrical box don't match up the the holes on the light base. I can get one side lined up and then the other is about a 1/4 of an inch off. I don't know what to do..

What type of box is in place? and what type of fixture hardware did the fixture come with?

Did the light kit come with a mounting bracket that mounts to the ceiling box?
