Replacing Ceiling Flush Mount Light - Options?

Planning on replacing a flush mount ceiling light in a finished basement w normal ceiling....

Am considering track lighting but what are cost effective options I can choose that also won't require many changes and extra cost besides the purchase of the lighting fixture?

You should be able to remove the existing fixture and install the conductors into the track feed fitting.

Answers based on the National Electrical Code. Local amendments may apply. Check with your local building officials.
