Replacing bathroom vanity light bar

I have never changed any wall-mounted light fixtures before, but I plan on replacing the vanity light bar in my bathroom. My question: Are there any problems or dangers in changing from a traditional chrome 4 light bar that uses G-25 bulbs to a 3 light vanity or 4 light vanity fixture that uses regular bulbs?
Thanks.

One more lighting question...

The same goes for my dining room light fixture--I would like to change my pendant light, which has only 1 regular bulb, and I'm thinking about getting a pendant light or chandelier which has multiple bulbs. Any danger in that?
Thanks.

I think you will be fine in both cases as long as the insulation is still good. Be sure to pay attention to all the splices. Do not make any changes that do not involve the actual fixture wires.
