replacement brushes for motor


i need help finding replacement motor brushes for a moe hoe garden tiller made by iron fireman mfg that dates back to the 50's all i can see on the brush is the number 255. the motor is a 115 v 60 hz and 1.9 amp.

Have you tried to find brushes at any electrical supply houses?

I would call your local electric motor rebuild shop talk to them there may be some more to do than just throwing in brushes

replacement brushes for motor


Google 'carbon brushes'. Measure what you have and match it up. I use this site for a lot of mine:
