Replace dimmer switch with normal switch
bow?
seriously, the dimmer probably has 2 blacks and a green or a black a red and a green (assuming it isnt a 3 way switch) take the wire connected to the green and connect to the grounding screw on the new non dimmer switch. take the 2 wires connected to the black and/or red on the dimmer and connect them to the 2 terminals on the switch. If there is a bundle of white wires in the box leave them alone. If there is only a black wire and white wire coming in (not including ground) make sure the white wire is identified as a hot by adding black tape around it. if its a 3 way switch let us know as it is a bit more complicated |
