removing walls

I have a small closet the middle of a room that has a cold air return, thermostat and electric. I want to remove it to open up the space after we determine if it is a load barring wall I want to know if we can take it out and move everything else? And how much would it be?

Is this a one story house or two story house. Is there an unfinished basement or accessible crawl space. It helps to know what is above and below the room because it may be necessary to pull wires. Add some more detail after you determine if the wall is load bearing.
