Remove Switch from controlling outlet/wire wall light to wall switch

Hello, I have a light switch in my room that currently controls 1 outlet. I would like to have power ran from that outlet up the wall (about 4 feet) so that I can install a wall mounted light and have the light switch control just the new wall light and not the outlet. I have been looking for details on how to do this, I have replaced light switches/Outlets and installed light fixtures on exisiting wiring before just never anything like this... thanks!!!

Can you describe the number and colors of wires in the switch box and attached to the switch?
