remodel box for wall fixture

I am installing a wall scones, it comes with a circular slotted mounting plate. The closest thing I could find is a ceiling remodel box which is round with the flip out ears.

Are are there hexigonal remodel box similar to the metal ones? or other box I could use?

BTW what is the screw to mount the plate to these plastic remodel boxes? Is it 8/32 screws?

Yes to mount the bracket to a round or octagon box the screws are 8/32. You can get plastic 3" or 4" round remodel boxes. Or use a gem box (switch box) and madison holdits . (switch box supports or "F" clips) Not technically rated for a light but used all the time. This uses a 6/32 screw. But it is not on a ceiling so support is sufficient.

How heavy are the sconces?

As long the luminaire is under 6 lbs you should be ok with remodel junction box but once you get over 6 lbs then you must find a stud to properly support the junction box. [ That for wall mounting ]
