Recommendations on outdoor direct burial lamp posts?

Our old lamp post was steel, peeling, and pretty dinged up.
I decided that I wanted to throw in a new pole and fixture.
I'm very partial to photo cell controls, so I'd want to fix one of those on there. At first, I just thought I'd snag an aluminum pole from Lowe's or Home Depot. As I began to do a little research though, I was a bit concerned by the quality of those poles.
It sounds silly, I mean, it's just a steel pole, but what are the things out there that I should be looking for? Assuming that I want this to be a good quality (read long lasting) install? What's a good price?
Oh, the lamp style is Mission, so I'd like something minimalistic and clean. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
