Recessed Lighting

My husband installed the Utilitech recessed lighting (290214) and bought the white shower trim (290205) and we have tried to put the two together but can't seem to figure out how to do it. Does the little dome thing hook on to the metal plate inside of the recessed light or what? For such a simple thing, we are a little slow at putting it together.

Recessed Lighting

See if this helps:

Usually, the trim ring has some thin, springy metal wires with hooks on the ends. These slide into/along a ridge/opening inside the can on the sides. Place one side then the other, then gently push the ring up to the ceiling; it should stay put.
