Recessed lighting


I want to wire four recessed ceiling lights I need a wiring diaghram.

run 14/2 with ground to the closest light, then run 14/2 with ground between each light.

Recessed lighting


From the switch: black to black, white to white, grounds to grounds.

If the switch is existing use whatever size wire is existing. If it is #12, use #12. If #14 use #14.

Recessed lighting


Power source======switch box=====light====light====light=====light


====== is two wire cable two wire cable w/ground, sized the same as the circuit you are tapping into.



At sw box, white to white, both blacks to switch.

At lights, color to color.

Use a plastic sw box, leave a ground pigtail for the switch.

Use a metal sw box, use a ground screw in the tapped hole and ground the box.
