Recessed light sound transmission?

Not sure if this is an electrical question but I figured you electricians would have the most experience with recessed lights. When I finish my basement I'd like to use recessed lights to maximize headroom. My son plays drums downstairs so I'd also like to minimize sound transmission from the basement to the upstairs. I've already found lots of techniques for sound reduction (double drywall, RC channel, quietrock, greenglue, etc etc) and will employ one or more of these methods.

My specific question is will using recessed lights negate any benefit I would get from these sound reduction methods?

Recessed light sound transmission?

You could build sort of "boxes" around the cans.

You could use acoustic-rated recessed downlights.
