Recessed Light on Curved Ceiling?
I'm building a small niche that has a curved ceiling portion where I want to mount a recessed eye swivel light to light up a vaze/flowers/picture frame ect.
What is the best way to mount a 4" recessed light onto a curved surface? Do I build up the sides around the trim so it looks flat or what?
My last effort would be to mount a single track light on the front wall and aim it inside the niche but I would rather have a recessed light if possible.
dude, this is more of a construction question.
Depends on the size of the arch.
I have installed 4" cans in a 3" wide arch that fit OK. Any tighter and you will have to get creative and notch the drywall a bit. The thinner the trim ring, the better it will fit. Avoid the swivel and go with a stright down light.
