Range outlet.

How high should a 240 range outlet be off the floor?

Thanks.

Range outlet.

There is usually a space at the back of the range that allows the unit to be pushed tight against the wall. I try to mount the outlet where it will fall into this space.

Range outlet.

Appliance makers put the allowable area in different locations. Check the installation instructions.

Range outlet.

Typically it should be right at the floor, but listen to Jim to be sure.

Range outlet.

Close to the floor, or on it, as can be the case with surface mounted receptacles. The space behind the bottom drawer on many ranges usually accommodates such arrangements.

The Code recognizes the range outlet in such a location as a disconnecting means IF you can remove the drawer, AND unplug the appliance without moving the range itself.
