Question on wiring two banks of lights from two switches

Hi - great forum! I have a question,

I'm wiring up recessed lighting in my kitchen, new construction. I have six lights, and want to run them using 14/2 romex, dedicated circuit. I'm going to wire them in two banks, with two switches in one box controlling them.

I plan on running the 14/2 into the box and pigtailing the hot feed to the two switches. Each bank of lighting would come in, the hot to each switch and neutrals all tied together of course.

Can't think of a better way to do things, what do you guys think? Thanks!

Personally, I would consider adding more load to the circuit. Six cans on an individual circuit seems to me to be too small of a load.

Seems to be fine by me.

You can add more lights, for other rooms, to this new 15 amp circuit now or at any later date.

You may not hang the lights off of the 20 amp circuits feeding the kitchen counter (and perhaps also the dining room) receptacles; you may not hang the lights off of any other 20 amp circuit while using 14 gauge wire.

I'd like to add more devices on the circuit, but only my kitchen is currently opened up, so I don't have many options.. though I'm sure I could find a spot for a couple receptacles or additional lighting, will have to see.
