Question about 277V lighting.

I am looking into getting some lighting for my garage, and i came upon a really good deal on some HPS lights that run on 277V. I am not an electrician, i do plan on hiring one to install the lights, but before i do that i need to know if wiring these to my standard 120V residential electric supply. I have done some research, most people say replace the ballasts to 120V, but that would make this pointless as those cost much more money than i can invest. My question is, is there anyway to make these work without having the electric company come and modifying the supply? I have attached a picture of the ballast with all the info. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!

Find someone who has a 480V 3 Phase service who can use them.
Maybe you can make a deal.

You can not get the power company to regulate the supply. 277 volts is from a 480 volt 3 phase system. If the luminaires do not have multi-tap ballasts they are useless to you.

You cannot connect luminaires to anything other than 120V, [edit] or less [/edit] in a residential setting.

Actually, those are Metal hallide, not HPS.

You can find those lights in 120 /240 at W.W Grainger. Make sure you have adequate circuitry for them.
