PVC Conduit Question

Just wondering is rigid pvc conduit the same or equal to schedule 80. I noticed the other day the box for our septic pump alarm has rigid pvc going from the box into the ground where it goes to the tank and has a piece of schedule 40 from the box into the house totally above ground.

There is the diffrence between the shed 40 and shed 80 is wall thickness.

Overall the extreal diameter is the same for both 40 and 80 but interal diameter that will change a bit depending on the numbers of conduct it will be using.
