Puck lights with touch dimmer
I have 5 LV puck lights that came with a touch, 3-level dimmer (which also has an off position). I have the lights plugged into a switched outlet.

Here is the problem. The dimmer's default position is apparently "off". Once I flip the switch to off and and wait more than five seconds before I turn it back on, the lights remain off. If I turn it off and back on very quickly, the lights stay at the last setting.

Can I get a different dimmer (slide type with no "off") to replace the touch dimmer?

Anyone have a suggestion for this? Any way to defeat the off position on the dimmer?

I would guess there is a transformer in this setup somewhere more than likely built into your dimmer. So my guess would be that your stuck with what you have. I could be wrong but I can't really see what you have either.

The touch pad dimmer plugs into the transformer with a basic slide-on electronic connector. The transformer then has two wires out each end, one runs to the series of lights, the other runs to the outlet.

You might be in luck then. If you are dimming at 120v before it goes to the transformer than any 120v dimmer should do the job.
