power panel missing, all receptacles & switches removed

Foreclosure - 3k sq ft house, owner got even with the bank. removed all switches & outlets luckily they did not cut the wires off short.
Any words of wisdom / tips in putting things back together?

I will grab a wire tracing device & try to untangle this mess.
I've wired a couple houses before & have good electrical skills. Will be pulling a permit for the all in one meter panel box. They even pulled the condenser fan from rooftop air unit. All and all I did get a smoken good deal from the bank.

thanks for your thoughts.

For the obvious, all #12 wires are 20amp, #14 are 15A. 20A will be for kitchen, bathroom, maybe a workshop. Bigger wire is for A/C, ranges/ovens. To find a circuit, short hot/neut together at an outlet then look for the short where the panel goes.

A wire toner will probably help you figure out some of the wiring. It will be harder unless the splices are already made.
