Question

Power cord coming out of my propane fireplace

Any idea why I'd have a power cord coming out of my propane fireplace? I assume it is to provide power to a blower but thought I'd better ask before I plug it in. Thought I'd ask you instead of the chimney sweep that's due to arrive in two weeks and save some embarrassment!

It's most likely a blower, but why not just open the bottom drawer of the fireplace unit and take a look...

If it's not your blower I have seen instances where there is a small power strip down there to plug in a blower and a transformer for a remote if added as an accessory.
