Pot Lights for basement

We are having our basement refinished, and want to put in pot lights. The room is 20 x 15, how many pot lights do you recommend ?
Can you resommend which ones we should purchase, they need to be insulated.

Twelve lights, arranged in a 3x4 grid pattern, will probably work well. They should be about 5 feet apart with those near a wall about 2-1/2 feet from the wall.

Stop wasting time re-adjusting the pattern. Have several lawn sprinklers, one for each pattern.
