Portable Gen Set - Home Connections & Distance

Please advise on this design. I'm concerned about the distance and voltage drop, but want to keep the noise down and the gen set out of street view.

1. Portable gen set (gas, 3000w 125v 25a) connected via 50 Ft outdoor cable (Generator Extension Cord 50 Foot 10/3 30 Amp 3 Prong)to Power Inlet Box (30 amps 125 volts).

2. Power Inlet Box connected to a 50 Amp Manual Transfer Switch at an interior distance of 50 wire feet using 8/3 cable, permanently installed.

3. Transfer Switch connected to 200 amp Main service with 8 circuits wired for the portable backup.

I recognize this is small gen set and has limitations in powering part of a residence with only 30 amps. I also recognize the cost of installing 8/3 cable in lieu of placing the gen set closer. 8/3 would allow me to step up later with a larger gen set (50 amps) provided I upgraded the appropriate transfer switch & main panel breakers.

This setup also allows me to take the portable gen set to other property and use it as planned for some rural construction.

Please advise. Thanks in advance!

The loss at 30a over a 50 ft #10 cable is only 1.5v.
Not even worth worring about !
