Our local code requires GFCI protection to be between 10 and 20' from edge of pool. Pump twist lock receptacle must be between 5 and 10'. My breaker is about 50' from the pool, so GFCI breaker will not by itself suffice. Does this mean that I have to come up twice from my underground PVC run - 1st for GFCI outlet, 2nd for twist lock and safety switch? Am I understanding this correctly?
I will have an electrician confirm my work (updating my fuse box), but I want to ensure I do things right the 1st time.
The pump receptacle MAY be 5-10 feet from the pool. It doesn't have to be. It can be further.
The distance does not matter. A GFI breaker, even 50' away, is all that is required to protect the pump circuit.
Sometimes I feel like if I answer any more questions it is like someone trying to climb over a fence to jump off a bridge and me giving them a boost.
