Please help with hot tub wiring.

I am a so to speak virgin of hot tub wiring. I have had 2 now. After selling my other one last year I just got a used one I had it up and running great cut off box and everything was working right. But then I had to disconnect it so I could move the tub to re-finish my deck. When I unhooked the wiring I was stupid and did not write what was connected to what. I have a cut off box outside connected to a 50 amp gfci breaker in my basement. The cut off box has a black ground but then also another black wire and a grey/black striped wire. However the tub wiring has a black wire, green wire, and white wire. Does anyone know how to re-connect this??????? Here are a few pics of what I am talking about.

Feeder to a hot tub must have an insulated green ground
A black wire can't be used as a ground is my understanding
Usually you have 2 hots - black, white neutral & green ground

You need to check w/Mfg on wiring diagram or you may fry something

The hot tub I have is the nordic warrior XL. I got it used so I have no idea where I could get a wiring diagram from. When I was doing several internet searches for something that could help me with the specific wiring, I could not find and specifics.

Find the model you have and download a manual here.

The wiring looks like it is a 120V only tub.

Is it just me or does it look like these wires were just wirenutted together in the box, not even utilizing the disconnect? Also, looks like the disconnect is missing the screw down lugs on the left side to connect a set of wires to.

It certaintly looks like this is a 120 volt only hot tub, no red wire in the cable from the hot tub and looking at the disconnect, I'd imagine that wire screwed into the disconnect has not been connected to anything (at least for this hot tub anyway).

Yes the tub wores where wire nutted together. All of them where used and the disconnect worked as well. the first time I hooked it up the tub ran without the disconnect soI re-wired it again and it worked fine and only with the disconnect in the box. I pulled it out several times to make sure that it ran proper and it did. and by the nordic website it said that this tub could be ran as a 120 or 220/240 by moving the jumper pins in the motor box to the right spot. So I had it running once and now have NO idea why i cant get it going again.
