Please Help

Hi
Could somebody advise me , I would like another double electric socket in my kitchen and I know that you can only take one spur of an excisting socket, the nearest socket I have to where I want my new one has a spur going to the fuse box of my central heating system.
Can a spur be taken off this fuse box for the double socket?
I would like to know this before I call in an electrician.

What is a spur?

Do you mean a circuit?

Joyce,
Without a more clear desciption of what you actually have and what you want, it is very difficult for us to advise you.
Call an electrician, and have them advise you based on local code, etc.
Good Luck!

OP is from the UK, judging from the terms he is using. Are there any UK sparkies here?
