Pendant Lighting

New to this forum and interested in catching up on the valuable information contained her in this forum. Really appreciate this resource.

Interested in installing pendant lighting over the breakfast bar without the unsighly hardware spread acrosss the ceilng. I know that unless you have ceiling light fixtures installed at the factory your're asking alot to do-it-yourself. How can we do this without the eye fixed on the ceiling hardware?

I realized that I omitted one important element in my request for help. Ours is a manufactured home. Enjoy the life style and the DIY.

You must have a junction box wherever connections are made. Either you need space above the ceiling surface where the box can be recessed or you need to look for a decorative junction box that can be fastened on the ceiling.

You must have space above the ceiling surface to string the cables or you will need to mount a molding (or a soffit) across the ceiling to hide the wires.
