Outside light

Hi,
Have bought outside light with sensor.
It has facility for wiring including neutral.
I can only access (with ease) a spur from an internal light fitting that has no earth.
Is this a problem...the outside light is under the eves

Thanks

Sensor lights generally require a switched source, and any fixture outside should have a ground. If there is none there, I would suggest you need to do some rewiring.
