Cut 4x4 to desired length. Mount post in ground. Run 6-2 UF w/ground (to account for any voltage drop). Strip the black and white. Staple the stripped white to the bottom of the post. (That way the neutral is bonded with ground). Staple the stripped black to the top of the post. Leave the bare ground in the ground.
