outlet spark

Occasionally when I plug a three pronged plug into an outlet, there is a blue spark. The outlet seems to be correctly installed. What should I do? Is this a fire hazard?

outlet spark

Pic,
Is whatever you are plugging in 'on'? That will cause a spark as you complete the circuit. If that's not the case, the outlet and the wiring to it should be checked.
