Outlet proximity to gas wall heater?

I have a little project that has snowballed on me
I have to install an electrical outlet for a blower in a propane wall heater and just wanted to ask if there is any reason or code anywhere or otherwise that says I should not place the outlet directly underneath the wall mounted heater near the gas line? the manual didn't address it. Thanks!

Check your local building code. They vary from place to place.

My idea of a perfect day: No where to go and all day to get there.
