Question

outlet problem


I was wondering if anyone knew what is wrong here . I have 4 outlets on a circuit when I check voltage on any of the 4 I get 120 volts but if I plug anything in it will not work any help would be nice.

outlet problem


unsure of previous condition but i checked with both an analog and a digital meter all seem to be wired corectly and all have full voltage but still will not work

I assume you are testing hot to neutral.

That's why I always start troubleshooting with a resistive meter like a wiggy. It puts a small load on the circuit and you can feel some problems.

Picture a wire that is only making contact by a thread. It will still read 120V on a digital meter but a load can't get thru that thread sized wire.

Pull the receps out and you will find a bad connection in the back of the first one that is not working or the last one that is working.

outlet problem


the supply line goes to a junction box with a terminal block and each outlet is on its own wiring . I checked the junction box,each outlet and the breakerbox but found no loose or bad wires

Terminal Block? Last time I saw one of those in a box was a picture of wiring from the UK. Where are you located?
