Outlet Has Power Even Though Fuse Box is OFf

I recently replaced 3 outlets and a light switch on the 2nd floor of my house..and now an outlet and 2 appliances downstairs don't work...when I turned off the fusebox to re-check my work, the clock on the oven comes on and the appliances work....what gives?

EDIT: The light switch and the 3 outlets have no ground wires...plugs have 2 white and 2 black and the switch has 2 red wires. The new switch has 3 screws plus the ground screw...One is labeled common..which I know is the live wire...

I connected 1 to the common and one to the screw opposite it and everything works..but now the oven and dryer don't work, but when I turn off the power at the fuse box...the dryer and oven work
